Dubai College of Business Administration & Corporate Liaison Department organized the Employability Week, a week long journey served its aspiring young professionals in mapping their road for an awe-inspiring career. Participants were put under a complete cycle in which they received trainings from the pre-eminent trainers and mentors of the corporate. The Employability Week encompassed a prodigious amount of input from the venerated trainers and mentors of the industry. The themes of the trainings were closely pondered on so as to inculcate all domains necessary for demonstration of professionalism by the participants from Dubai College of Business Administration. It was a week filled with multiple trainings over a plethora of subjects, mentorship programs and workshops for extensive development. The efforts made by our esteemed trainers and mentors in shaping our future professionals are adulated by the Dubai College of Business Administration Management. The training sessions ranged on a diversified range of topics, beginning from How to Write Winning Resumes, The Brand Called YOU, International Placements, Networking: make it work for you, Presentations: from terrified to confident, The Craft of Writing, Leadership Essentials and last but not the least, LinkedIn: from amateur to professional. The participants were put under a structured Assessment Center by Apple Valley Consulting in which they were facilitated with simulations on how to embody professionalism in any given situation. The concept was incorporating ways for survival in assessment centers conducted by top organizations. The Top Alumni of Dubai College of Business Administration were invited to the mentorship program to mentor their juniors and our aspiring professionals through a one-on-one interaction session where the student’s queries were facilitated by our mentors. Employability Week accommodated prime corporate organizations of the country to foster the participants to have a better understanding of the recruitment process of the top multinational organizations and get familiar with the top-notch organizations’ corporate culture, values and norms. The organizations visited Dubai College of Business Administration and presented company presentations to assist in curtailing the gap between corporate and academia. The participants epitomized professionalism in all dimensions and will continue to do so in all future endeavors.
